Check out his blog here: Īs someone that sees how much awesome stuff he does, I know he really deserves all and any kind of support. However if you wish to help him out some more, he has donate buttons readily available on his itch.io when you try to download NTT: /nuclear-throne-togetherĪlso if you like gamemaker or wanna see what kind of coding god YAL is. So yes, YellowAfterLife has been compensated for his efforts. You can now stop savanna enemies eating corpses by shooting them. Buff popo (steroids idpd) Some additional effects to ultras (check balance section for more info) Ultimate gamble icon. He did not have to rewrite every piece of code with this solution. Cursed Hyper Crystal (different from retail, coloured and teleports) Inverted Technomancer. It's a bit more intricate hence why it has a larger impact on smaller systems. U99 is actually a version of NTT but with the online and modding features stripped because the developers wanted to avoid disparity between different releases (between PC and console releases)Īlso note that the 60fps feature YAL has put in NTT is not your bog standard solution for 60fps conversion. YAL has made the current existing steam update (u99r1) and is making the next one (u99r2) as well. YAL was compensated by Vlambeer for his work. and any new updates for the game will liekly break the NTT mod altogetherm, every single time - same things the devs would face if they slapped the update on in this time in the game s life cycle - it's WAY too late to just change it. You have absolutely no idea hwo much work is in the NTT mod to even sort of achieve these things. and in some cases, it messes up damage values, too so you'r taking 1 hit kills. but game maker engine game rely on the framerate for the literal speed of the game - and playing it as-is in 60 fps makes the game literally run twice as fast - and that's not all it does, it also screws up all the physics for movement, bullets, characters, everything. it is not movie editing, you cant just _ SWITCH - and make it 60 withouth breaking a ton of stuff. did you think there was a reason that didn't involve it maning they would have to wirte stupid coding over the existing cosding, and then update two sets of things for every update ( of which there are nearly 100 of, btw ) or, the more logical decision - rebuilding the entire game, preferably in game maker 2 - and working with widescreen and 60 fps in mind from the get go - so instead of cheap cioding to fake it, actually - redrawing all sprites in the proper aspect ratio - renanimating all the sprites to 60 fps. Metamorphosis has arrived, a Nuclear Throne Together mutation mod designed with build variety and synergy in mind. All these things and more you could do if only. Fight your way through the wastelands with powerful weaponry, collecting radiation to mutate some new limbs and abilities. Not 'the final hope of humanity' post-apocalyptic, but 'humanity is extinct and mutants and monsters now roam the world' post-apocalyptic. What you dont understand is you cant just flip a switch to make a game in game maker engine 60 fps liek that. Nuclear Throne - Nuclear Throne is a post-apocalyptic roguelike-like top-down shooter. you can't read or what? no, I read you perfectly. When i set my game to anything above 60 fps the game seems to run in slow motion while still at 60 fps. You don't understand what I'm talking about do you. Hereby Im proud to present the newest update to Nuclear Throne Together, adding a number of seemingly unlikely features to the mod: 4-player support Perhaps th. it wouldnt be worth any amoutn of time or effort just for silly cheevoes. Im gonna say that there is a third option for "arbitrary" framerate locks, that is keeping framerate consistant over all the game, it would be ♥♥♥♥♥♥ if when you got to loop the game started slowing down, so locking it to 30 is a way to ensure that doens't happen to most people,Įven then i recall asking on a reddit AMA why the game was locked at 30 and the answer i got was something on the lines that the game was coded on a game jam and all the code was chained to 30 fps.TemmieNeko eredeti hozzászólása:it would take nearly as long as the NTT m,od team did to get their verison mnostly working well. For what i know the way the PS3 processor worked was really weird, like even experienced people had problems understanding the way it worked. Sometimes both, as a lot of PS3 games later ported to PC illustrate, such as Way of the Samurai 3-4 or the original Dark Souls port. Trombe a écrit :Arbitrary framerate locks come from two sources - hardware limitation and technological incompetency.
